An SUV traveling south on Old Canoe Creek Road sideswiped a sedan being driven in the same direction, what led to the SUV entering oncoming traffic and crashing head-on into a different sedan, police said in a statement. The SUV’s driver is now dead and the driver of the second sedan was hospitalized, according to police.
Old Canoe Creek Road was completely blocked at the intersection, the post states. The shutdown would likely remain for some time as debris is cleared and the investigation continues, police said.
Drivers were advised to take an alternate route — Canoe Creek Road was suggested — and to be extra careful when driving near first responders.
