Fatal crash investigated on Bryson Drive near Harwick Drive

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 48-year-old Orlando man was killed Sunday afternoon when the ATV he was operating crashed into a mailbox, a fire hydrant and a parked vehicle in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened around 3:05 p.m. on Bryson Drive north of Harwick Drive, southwest of Clarcona Ocoee and Hiawassee roads.

According to the FHP, the ATV was traveling north on Bryson Drive when the man lost control and traveled off the road. The ATV struck a mailbox and a fire hydrant before crashing into the back of an unoccupied Kia Forte that was parked in a yard, according to troopers.

An FHP crash report stated that the man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the ATV when the vehicle hit the car.

The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead, according to the FHP.
