LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – As we bring our coverage to a close for the Montverde area, I wanted to end it with a public safety interview.
We spoke earlier in the week about how the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol are tasked with providing law enforcement services to the towns of Montverde and Minneola.
Today, we welcomed Lt. Bill Reed of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to talk about what policing is like in some of our rural parts of Central Florida.
Steven Montiero, better known as “Trooper Steve," joined the News 6 morning team as its Traffic Safety Expert in October 2017.
A Central Florida native and decorated combat veteran, Montiero comes to the station following an eight-year assignment with the Florida Highway Patrol.
