Pedestrian hit, killed on Nova Road in Port Orange; clues sought

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A 37-year-old man was struck and killed Wednesday in Port Orange, police said.

The fatal wreck happened around 9:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of Nova Road.

Port Orange police said officers were called to the area for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Police said the pedestrian, identified as Joshua SeeSholtz, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene, but police said they are seeking information about the wreck.

“If anyone witnessed or has information concerning this traffic crash, please contact Port Orange Police Department Traffic Homicide Investigator Slease at 386-506-5838,” police said in a news release.
