ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers stopped a driver early Wednesday who was traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 4 in Orange County.
The driver was stopped by two troopers just after 3 a.m., FHP said on social media.
“Their quick actions prevented a crash,” the post states. “(...) One impaired driver heading the wrong way puts everyone at risk.”
According to the post, the driver had been traveling east in the westbound lanes.
Troopers said that the driver showed signs of impairment and later gave a breath sample resulting in a 0.20 BAC reading.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail, the post states.
No further details were shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
