The FHP said the Apopka Fire Department ambulance was heading south on OBT with its emergency lights and sirens activated and traveled into the intersection at S.R. 414.

A 2015 Ford F-250 was traveling west on S.R. 414 approaching OBT and entered the intersection on a green traffic light, according to troopers, who said the front of the ambulance struck the right side of the pickup, which overturned and struck a 2024 Toyota RAV4.

The ambulance driver, a 26-year-old man, his passenger, a 25-year-old man, and a patient, a 78-year-old Apopka woman, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Ford F-250 driver, a 52-year-old Kissimmee man, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the RAV4, a 57-year-old Apopka woman, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of Apopka Boulevard were closed in the area but later reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
