A semitrailer overturned in a crash early Friday, prompting the closure of Florida’s Turnpike in Lake County , the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The wreck happened around 5 a.m. at mile marker 287 near Leesburg . All southbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed in the area, but the right lane was later reopened.
The FHP said a 50-year-old man from Grand Ridge, Florida, was driving a 2012 Freightliner south on the Turnpike when his steering failed.
