AUBURNDALE, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Saturday in Auburndale, according to police.
The crash occurred around 12:41 a.m. in the westbound lanes of U.S. 92’s overpass near Magnolia Avenue and McKean Street, the Auburndale Police Department said in a news release.
According to the release, a sedan and a motorcycle collided on the overpass, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the release states.
The person driving the sedan suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
An investigation is said to be ongoing, the release states, adding names would be withheld for the time being.
