MAITLAND, Fla. – Maitland police and firefighters responded Thursday afternoon to a crash involving a SunRail train and a vehicle.

The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Packwood Avenue and Maitland Avenue, the Maitland Fire Rescue Department said on social media.

The fire department advised motorists to find different routes while SunRail said the police activity had delayed trains P318 NB and P321 SB by 20 minutes.

No serious injuries were reported, according to a city spokesperson.

This marks Thursday’s second publicized delay for SunRail. The first occurred in the morning when three Orlando Utilities Commission employees were injured in downtown and required hospital transport, according to the utilities provider.
