BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A man and woman were struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on North Courtenay Parkway and Grove Boulevard in Merritt Island.
According to a crash report, a 62-year-old Cocoa man and a 60-year-old Palm Bay woman were walking west across on North Courtenay Parkway and were struck by a 1991 Lincoln Town Car that was heading south. The pedestrians were not in a marked crosswalk, troopers said.

Troopers said both pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been released.
The driver of the Town Car, a 26-year-old Rockledge man, and a 3-year-old girl, were not injured and remained at the scene.
Both directions of North Courtenay Parkway were closed but have since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
