BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 63-year-old Cocoa man was pronounced dead at the scene of a four-vehicle crash early Friday near Titusville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 6:24 a.m. on Beach Road, east of Titusville Road, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the Cocoa man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Beach Road when he veered into the other lane for an unknown reason.

The Silverado sideswiped an eastbound 2017 Ford F-250 before going on to strike an eastbound 2025 Dodge Ram 2500 and an eastbound 2011 Ford F-250 in that order, the report states.

The 60-year-old Liberty man driving the 2017 Ford F-250 was not injured in the crash, but the 51-year-old Clewiston man driving the 2025 Dodge Ram 2500 and the two occupants of the 2011 Ford F-250 — a 60-year-old Titusville man driving with a 56-year-old Mims man riding as a passenger — were all hospitalized for treatment of serious injuries, according to FHP.

Troopers believe the Cocoa man was the only person involved in the crash who was not wearing a seat belt.

FHP is still investigating.
