Motorcyclist killed after crash in Orange County, FHP says

Crash happened on Landstar Boulevard near SR-417

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened on Landstar Boulevard near State Road 417.

According to the FHP report, a 2019 Subaru Impreza was traveling northbound approaching State Road 417 when it made a left turn directly into the path of a 2007 KTM motorcycle that was traveling southbound.

The right side of the Subaru struck the motorcycle, causing serious injuries to the rider. The 18-year-old Subaru driver from Orlando remained on the scene, troopers said.

The motorcycle rider, whose identity is pending, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 18-year-old Subaru driver was not injured.

Northbound and southbound lanes on Landstar Boulevard were shut down but have since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
