ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An intersection in Orange County was temporarily shut down Wednesday morning after a car struck the side of a tractor-trailer in a fiery crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at Orange Blossom Trail’s intersection with Consulate Drive, not far from the tourist-district attractions and lodging around the county line with Osceola, troopers said.
According to a preliminary FHP crash report, a 2003 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail as a 2025 semi tractor-double trailer traveling eastbound on Consulate Drive turned left to travel north on Orange Blossom Trail.
The front of the Honda struck the left side of the semi-trailer, causing both vehicles to catch fire, the report states.
No reported roadblocks remained at the time of this report.
Three people were hospitalized, at least one of whom underwent treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to FHP.
