FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old Palm Coast woman was killed early Monday in a head-on crash with a vehicle in front of her that collided with a guardrail on Interstate 95 before spinning around and becoming disabled, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 12:10 a.m. on I-95 north, about a mile north of Old Dixie Highway in Flagler County.
The FHP said a 23-year-old Palm Coast woman was driving north on I-95 when she left the road to the left and collided with a guardrail. Her car did a 180-degree turn and became disabled while facing south in the left lane of the interstate, according to an FHP crash report.
The 55-year-old woman, who was driving north in the left lane, collided with the front of the disabled vehicle, the FHP said.

The 55-year-old died in the crash, while the 23-year-old suffered serious injuries, the FHP crash report stated.
All northbound lanes of I-95 were closed in the area and traffic was diverted onto Old Dixie Highway.
An investigation is ongoing.
