Crash shuts down Morse Boulevard in The Villages, deputies say

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies shut down a stretch of Morse Boulevard on Tuesday evening after a “severe traffic accident” near Lake Sumter Landing, according to the sheriff’s office.

All lanes of Morse Boulevard are closed from County Road 466 to Lake Sumter Landing while deputies work the scene.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway can be cleared, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
