LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A portion of State Road 46 was closed in Lake County after a body was found nearby, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies, EMS, and firefighters responded around 7:13 a.m. Wednesday, to a report of a body in a grassy area alongside State Road 429, near S.R. 46 and Sleepy Bear Lane, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The individual was pronounced dead by first responders, deputies said.
S.R. 46 was closed between Cypress Mill Road and Sleepy Bear Lane as an investigation continues, the statement reads, adding school transportation has been made aware of the change.
