Deltona woman ejected from vehicle, killed in crash on ISB in Daytona Beach

Florida troopers investigate single-vehicle wreck in Volusia

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A 54-year-old Deltona woman was ejected from her vehicle and killed Thursday morning in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The single-vehicle wreck happened around 10:10 a.m. on eastbound International Speedway Boulevard, east of LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach.

The FHP said the woman was driving a Mercury Mountaineer east on ISB when she lost control for an unknown reason and ran off the road.

The vehicle overturned in a tree line, ejecting the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.

The right eastbound lane of ISB is closed in the area while troopers conduct an investigation.

No other details have been released.
