SANFORD, Fla. – A possible sinkhole shut down traffic in Sanford on Tuesday evening, according to the police department.
In a release, police said that Hays Drive was shut down between Country Club Drive and Anderson Circle due to the potential sinkhole.

“The roadway will reopen once it has been cleared,” the release reads. “In the meantime, please use alternate routes and avoid this area if possible.”
No additional information has been provided at this time.
