Montiero brings years of experience as a Florida Highway Patrol trooper and decorated U.S. Air Force veteran to inform the public about Central Florida’s busy roads.
During Montiero’s eight-year career with the FHP, he served on the agency’s motorcycle unit and as the assistance public affairs officer, spreading knowledge about traffic safety.
“I am passionate about saving lives,” Montiero said. “I have seen so many things on the roads of Central Florida that I know can be prevented. I want to bring what I have learned out there to viewers in a way that can help their day go smoothly and keep them out of some of the dangerous situations I have encountered. News 6 is committed to getting results, and I am, too. It was a perfect fit!”
Montiero will continue working as a reserve trooper for the FHP.
