Motorcyclist killed in crash with utility pole guide wire 23-year-old Merritt Island man dies in accident
MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – A 23-year-old Merritt Island man was killed early Monday when his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole guide wire.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Richard Chrisman was killed in the crash, which occurred about midnight near the intersection of North Tropical Trail and Trails End Drive.
Troopers said Chrisman was traveling southbound and was unable to negotiate a curve. His motorcycle struck the wire, and he was ejected from the bike and killed, the FHP said.
Chrisman was wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
