Storms sweep across Central Florida
Another approaching system will create high chances for rain Sunday
ORLANDO, Fla. – There were some heavy thunderstorms Saturday with gusty wind up to 50 mph, and some areas received up to an inch of rain. Another round of rain is expected Sunday.
Storms started raining down on the region in the afternoon and lingered along the Brevard County coast through the evening.
Beachgoers should swim near a lifeguard because rip current risks are at moderate levels.
Lows Saturday night will range from 68 degrees in Ocala to 71 degrees in Palm Bay and 72 degrees in Orlando.
Another approaching system will create high chances for rain for Sunday. Sadly, this front will not bring in drier air nor will it drop temperatures. Highs on Sunday could reach 87 degrees in Daytona Beach and 89 degrees in Orlando.
The heat continues to rule going into next week, along with a chance of rain mentioned each day.
