More heat, not as many storms in Central Florida

Some heavy rain moves in

ORLANO, Fla. – We will pinpoint another round of storms into the late afternoon hours.

The difference today is that we will have a lower coverage. Expect a 30% chance for rain after 3 p.m.

Any time we hit up into the 90s and pinpoint sea breezes, there’s a chance for strong to severe storms.

The chance today is not high but it is not zero. Expect a high temperature of 95 today. Not quite a record, but 5° above the average.

Rain chances will go up to 60% Thursday and 70% through the weekend with high temperatures near 90. Yesterday in Orlando we had a high temperature of 96.

We saw .75 inches of rain. Now our deficit is .15 inches since the first of the year.

The normal high temperature in Orlando is 91. The record high for today is 100 set in 1907.
