ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida saw one of its coldest Christmases on record last year, and while the frigid air looks to stay away from Central Florida this year, it could be wet.

After a short break in the unsettled weather pattern, it appears wet weather will return in time for Christmas.

Rain chances for Christmas are currently at 30%, but those could rise as the week goes on.

Highs will likely be in the 60s and low 70s, much warmer than last year, when temperatures were in the 40s.

This expected active pattern during the winter months is all part of a strong El Niño.
