ORLANDO, Fla. – The mornings have been cool, but for the most part the afternoons have been comfortably warm. It will turn unseasonably warm heading into Super bowl weekend, but it appears at least one more big blast of cold looms later in February.

Slightly cooler air will move into Central Florida by Tuesday behind a weak cold front.

Temp Trend

The colder batch of air, however, looks to blast in to start the third week of February.

The jet stream is expected to become wavy, with a ridge building in the west and a trough in the east.

Active pattern returns mid-to-late February

This pattern promotes stormy weather along the East Coast and allows cold air to plunge into the Deep South, including Florida.

Temperatures could be as cold as 10-15 degrees below normal, putting morning lows back in the 30s and 40s. The potential for rain and storms moving through Florida will also go up during the third week of February.
