ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready for a hot, stormy stretch across Central Florida over the weekend before tropical moisture makes a comeback.
Expect a 50% chance of scattered storms to fire up along the I-4 corridor Friday as sea breezes collide. Some stronger storms could bring downpours, lightning and gusty winds up to 50-60 mph. Localized flooding is possible, especially in low-lying or urban spots.

Meanwhile, dangerous heat will build in. Expect heat index values up to 106 degrees, with a Moderate to Major Heat Risk. Stay hydrated and limit your time outdoors.
More of the same is expected for the weekend, with coverage up to 60% and highs in the mid-90s but feeling like at least 105.
We will start to see a shift to a wetter weather pattern early next week as a possible low develops nearby. Daily rain chances could near 70%, with 2–4 inches of rain possible in some areas.
