Storm chances sharply rise in Central Florida

Transitioning from sizzling heat to stormy through the middle of the week

ORLANDO, Fla. – It will still be hot and humid, it is Central Florida in July, but thanks to extra clouds and widespread storms it will at least feel better.

A disturbance hanging off the Florida coast will be the focal point for stormy days through the middle of the week.

Expect a much different thunderstorm pattern through Wednesday morning, with storm chances happening at different times when compared to a typical central Florida.

A few storms will be possible north of Orlando during the morning commute.

A few storms hang around in the evening.

Storm chances remain elevated, 70%, again Wednesday.

Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will be much “cooler” as a result, topping out in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
