ORLANDO, Fla. – The very active weather pattern over Central Florida isn’t going anywhere just yet.
The atmosphere remains unsettled Wednesday, with high moisture levels priming scattered afternoon and evening storms.
Expect storms to develop along the sea breezes, especially where they collide over the interior. With high instability in place, some storms could strengthen quickly and produce gusty winds (45-55 mph), frequent lightning and heavy downpours. A few spots could see isolated damaging wind gusts or even a brief tornado.

Storms will move slowly and erratically, increasing the risk for localized flooding.
Before the rain returns, temperatures will heat up above average in the mid-90s, with “feels-like” temperatures soaring to 105-110.
Looking ahead to Thursday and Friday, rain chances climb even higher as moisture surges across Central Florida.
Expect widespread storms, with locally heavy rainfall and flooding remaining a concern.
The heat eases just a bit thanks to increased clouds and rain, but it will still feel muggy, with heat index values above 100 degrees both days.
Heading into the weekend, rain chances stay high, with plenty of tropical moisture hanging around.
If you’re planning on heading to the beaches through the weekend, a developing tropical low off the Southeast coast will rough up the surf a bit and increase the threat for rip currents.
This low is being closely watched by the National Hurricane Center, giving it a medium chance for possible development in the next seven days.
