2025 Mount Dora Book Expo
Barrel of Books and Games is excited to invite you to our first-ever Book Expo!
Join us on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Donnelly Park to meet over a dozen local authors, covering every genre from poetry and thrillers to history, children’s books, true crime and sci-fi.
At 1 p.m., bestselling author Taryn Souders and Bill Opperman, constructive editor and publisher, will lead a special presentation followed by a Q&A session. Aspiring authors are welcome and encouraged to attend. Seating is available!
Plus, enjoy great door prizes (must be present) and free raffles (no need to be present). Authors will have books for sale and be happy to sign copies for you. Don’t miss this exciting event for book lovers of all kinds!
Howl-O-Scream Returns for a 5th Year of Fear at SeaWorld Orlando
Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando is back, more terrifying than ever, for its fifth year! This separately ticketed event, running on select nights from Sept. 5 to Nov. 1, features:
- Five haunted houses with new storylines
- Six scare zones and two roaming hordes
- Four thrilling attractions in the dark
- Live shows and eerie cocktails at five themed bars
