ORLANDO, Fla. – The holiday season is officially here — and Central Florida is celebrating big.

From sparkling Winter Wonderlands and LEGO-themed festivities to music festivals, parades, and snow-filled family fun, December is packed with can’t-miss events across the region.

Whether you’re looking for photos with Santa, live entertainment, holiday markets, or a full day of community and creativity, there’s something festive for everyone. Here’s a roundup of what’s going on:

1. 🎄 Wekiva Island Celebrates 10 Years of Winter Wonderland — Dec. 6–25

Wekiva Island marks a decade of holiday magic this year, transforming the riverside attraction into a glowing Winter Wonderland from Nov. 30 through Christmas Day. The experience features thousands of twinkling lights, nightly “snow” flurries, festive décor, and seasonal sips. The General Store will also showcase unique holiday gifts, with sip-and-shop specials from 6–7 p.m. on Dec. 11 and free gift wrapping from the Island elves on Dec. 16 & 22.

  • Reindeer Feed Making with Mrs. Claus — Craft treats for Santa’s reindeer, 6–7 p.m. | $10 per child

  • Visit from The Grinch — Meet the mischievous guest, 2–6 p.m.

  • Breakfast with Santa — Two weekends available, 9–11 a.m.$29.95 adults | $19.95 kids 10 & under

  • Clark Griswold & Cousin Eddie Appearance — Holiday comedy duo visit, 6–9 p.m.

2. 🎄 The Milk District Hosts KrampusFest Holiday Market & Festival Dec. 7| 2-9 p.m.

KrampusFest returns Sunday, Dec. 7, from 2–9 p.m. at The Plaza Live. Now in its sixth year, this popular Orlando tradition has become one of the largest Krampus-themed festivals in the U.S., attracting thousands for folklore, music, and mischievous holiday fun.

Inspired by the legend of Krampus, the festival features 170+ vendors, art, food, oddities, local makers, and new on-site laser engraving for limited-edition stainless-steel steins. Admission is free. Families are welcome early, though the event takes on a more adult tone after dark; under 18 must have a guardian in the evening.

Entertainment includes The Goblin Party (first appearance), The Bloody Jug Band, Bad Santa & The Angry Elves, photos with Krampus, and an expanded Krampuslauf parade.

3. 🧱🎅Holidays at LEGOLAND — Select Dates in December

Celebrate the season at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, where festive décor, interactive entertainment, and the towering LEGO Christmas tree return on Dec. 6, 13, 20 & 24–31. This year’s celebration includes:

Families can look forward to meeting LEGO Santa and holiday Minifigures, joining in the Sleigh Build Competition, and taking part in Santa’s Toy Build and the Festival of Flurries. Kids can also drop off letters at the North Pole Postal Service, dance it out at the Holly Hype Dance Party, and shop limited-edition LEGO holiday merchandise.

A special tree-lighting event featuring Blue Origin’s Club for the Future and “The Space Gal” Emily Calandrelli takes place Dec. 6.

The celebration ends on Dec. 31 with Florida’s only Kids’ New Year’s Eve Celebration, including extended park hours and a fireworks display to ring in 2026.

4. ❄️Winterfest Cocoa Beach — Saturday, Dec. 6 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

A full day of free coastal merriment awaits along Cocoa Beach Main Street. Enjoy live music, food trucks, craft vendors, and photos with Santa. Perfect for families looking for a casual holiday outing by the water.

5. 🛷 Wonderland at ONE DAYTONA — Dec. 7–21 (Sundays Only) | 3–6 p.m. | Free

Victory Circle transforms into a winter village with snow slides, festive characters, live music, and seasonal cheer — all free to attend. A laid-back Sunday tradition ideal for families and holiday photo ops.

6-🎄 65th Annual Mount Dora Christmas Parade — Saturday, Dec. 6 | 10 a.m. | Free

Celebrate the season at the 65th Annual Mount Dora Lions Club Christmas Parade on Donnelly Street in Downtown Mount Dora, rolling through downtown with classic holiday charm.

Enjoy an old-fashioned holiday parade filled with festive floats, marching bands, dancers, candy tosses, and an appearance from Santa. A perfect family-friendly way to kick off the Christmas spirit!
