Showers likely through Monday, with cooler midweek air arriving as drought conditions persist

ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready to keep the umbrella handy as scattered showers are expected through the weekend across Central Florida.

Rain chances

Isolated showers are likely Saturday, especially by the afternoon as the east coast sea breeze develops. Showers will stick around through Sunday as another cold front moves in, bringing even higher chances for wet weather to start the new week.

Temperature trends and impact of cold fronts

After Thursday’s cold front, Central Florida is getting a break from extreme heat and humidity. Highs on Friday are expected to be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Forecast highs

Similar comfortable conditions are expected Saturday morning, with most areas waking up to the 60s before highs push into the low 80s in the afternoon.
