Warm weekend ahead, but summer-like heat expected next week

Near-record highs possible next week

ORLANDO, FLa. – Central Florida is wrapping up the workweek on a warm and pleasant note. Tonight, temperatures will dip into the 60s and lower 70s, setting up a mild and comfortable start to the weekend.

Saturday kicks off with plenty of sunshine, followed by hot afternoon highs—upper 80s inland and lower to mid-80s along the coast. As sea breezes develop later in the day, they could spark a few scattered showers, with rain chances around 30–40%.

Sunday brings a similar story: more heat with temperatures in the 80s across the region and slightly higher rain chances, climbing to 40–50%.

Looking ahead to next week, conditions turn drier—but the tradeoff is intensifying heat. By Tuesday, afternoon highs surge into the lower 90s and stay there through the rest of the week. Near-record temperatures are possible by Thursday and Friday, shaping up to be the hottest stretch of the year so far.
