One more Spring day before Summer heat and storms build back. Here’s what to expect this weekend.

Highs return to near 90 degrees by Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will enjoy another pleasant day of weather Friday as dry air remains in place and rain chances stay low before moisture returns next week.

High pressure will continue to keep conditions stable across the region. While a few brief coastal sprinkles cannot be ruled out, most areas will stay dry with a mix of sunshine and passing clouds.

Expect afternoon temperatures to stay comfortable for early June standards, reaching the mid 80s along the coast and upper 80s inland.

Overnight temperatures will fall back into the mid 60s inland and low 70s closer to the coast.

WEEKEND

The dry pattern continues through Saturday as high pressure remains in control. Plenty of sunshine is expected, and temperatures will begin climbing closer to normal levels for this time of year.

Highs Saturday will reach the mid 80s to low 90s before pushing into the upper 80s and even mid 90s across parts of the interior on Sunday. Coastal communities will stay slightly cooler thanks to the daily sea breeze.

While most of Central Florida remains dry this weekend, a small chance for a few showers returns Sunday afternoon.

NEXT WEEK

Looking ahead, the weather pattern becomes more typical for June.

Moisture gradually increases Monday before a weak cold front approaches Florida by Tuesday. That front is expected to stall nearby, bringing the return of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms through the middle of next week.
