GENEVA, Fla. – Central Florida waterways are rising because of heavy rain from Hurricane Milton. In Geneva that’s led to a washed-out road and even bigger problems for one community.
News 6′s Treasure Roberts says Blue Fish Place washed out near Mullet Lake Park Road Thursday. That’s cut off residents from a major road, especially since the other way out of the community, Retreat Road, is flooded.
The pressure from the rushing water that took out the road also made it hard for a crew to fix the pipes from a water line. So the community has no running water right now.
Crews are now going to try to fix the pipe, and also add a temporary road so residents can get out of the community.
