ORLANDO, Fla. – Two systems are stirring in the Atlantic just as fall kicks off next week.
Central Tropical Atlantic (Invest 92L)
A large area of showers and storms (designated as Invest 92L) continues to show signs of organization in the Central Atlantic.
As of early Tuesday, it was located about halfway between the coast of Africa and the Windward Islands.
Conditions are expected to remain favorable for this large wave to strengthen with the high possibility for a tropical depression or storm forming soon.

Eastern Tropical Atlantic:
Further east, a new tropical wave is expected to roll off the western coast of Africa.
Once it emerges fully into the open water, development is expected to be slow, if any.

- Chance of formation in seven days: 20%
While we watch the progress of these two areas, neither pose an immediate threat to Florida.
The next named storm will be called Gabrielle.
Hurricane season runs through November.
