ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies arrested a customer who they say threatened Bright House headquarters in a complaint about his cable service.

Jeffrey Lauer, 55, has been charged with making a bomb threat in the Tuesday incident.

According to the report, Lauer called Bright House Networks to complain about his cable when he told the customer service representative that  he was going to "go down to the office and blow you mother (expletives) up" if the technician didn't come fix his cable.

Deputies said Lauer seemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of some substance when he threatened the office three or four times. Lauer later told deputies he had consumed about 10 beers.

When deputies arrived to talk with Lauer, he told them he might have said something about blowing up Bright House and changed the subject to say that he used to have Dish TV, according to the report.

Deputies said Lauer told them he felt the representative was not helping him, so he became short with her.

He was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail.
