Car hauler fire, explosion shuts down SB I-95 in Brevard

All lanes blocked past mile marker 225

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 are shut down at Aurantia Road after a car hauler caught fire Thursday night.

All lanes are blocked past mile marker 225.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the tractor-trailer became engulfed in flames that were followed by an explosive blast, catching some brush on fire nearby.

Officials said six vehicles were involved.

No other details were immediately released.
