Second shooting in Pine Hills Saturday leaves one dead, deputies say

Shooting happened less than 1 mile from early-morning incident that left 2 dead

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are investigating an incident in Pine Hills that left one man dead Saturday.

Deputies said two men got into an altercation before one man shot the other at the Royal Pines apartment complex on Belco Drive and Pine Hills Road around 11 a.m.

The Sheriff's Office said the 22-year old man who was shot fled the scene in a vehicle and the other fled on foot.

The man driving the vehicle crashed at Mercy and Colonial drives, deputies said. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Both men involved in the shooting were armed, deputies said.

Deputies were searching for the other man involved in the shooting and have asked for the community's help in identifying him.

The incident occurred less than a mile away from an incident that left two men dead after an altercation took place outside of a Pine Hills club early Saturday morning.
