Micro apartment units coming to Lake Nona

Pixon multifamily project set to open in winter of 2018

LAKE NONA, Fla. – A new apartment community coming to Lake Nona in winter of 2018 will feature micro apartment units, a Tesla ride-share program, a sky top lounge, 24-hour concierge and valet, and a pet spa and grooming area.

Groundbreaking for Pixon, formerly known as The Distillery, is scheduled to take place in September once all the proper permits are acquired.

Tavistock Development Company said the 201-unit modern flat community will be situated on 4.25 acres at the southeast intersection of Tavistock Lakes Boulevard and Lake Nona Boulevard, near Lake Nona Town Center.

"Pixon’s main 11-story tower will connect to a three-story parking structure via an enclosed second-story walkway," the company said in a news release. "The community will feature access controlled buildings and elevators, 24-hour concierge and valet, in addition to 24-hour express maintenance and valet trash service. Pixon is pet friendly and will be home to a designated pet spa and grooming area."

Six of the 201 units will be 360 square-foot micro apartment units, 42 will be 560 square-foot studios, 52 will be 720 square-foot one-bedroom units, 101 will be 1,050 square-foot two-bedroom units, and there will be a 1,730-square-foot penthouse.

The units will be equipped with stainless steel appliances, 10 feet tall floor-to-ceiling windows, quartz counter tops, front load washers and dryers, wood floors and frameless glass showers.

The ground floor of the building will be reserved for a mixed-use commercial space that will include a bar/restaurant, a retail area and a cafe. An adjacent area will be a co-living space for residents to access and for special events.

Pre-leasing will begin in the summer of 2018.
