COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A Cocoa Beach family found a seashell with a special message written inside this weekend.
Amy Mayes was with her husband and kids on Cocoa Beach right behind the Taco Bell on Flagler Street when she stumbled upon a beautiful shell.

When she picked up the shell, she noticed two names and a date written inside: "Shane and Jolene 2/26/09."
"It's pretty amazing that this washed up here unbroken after eight years," Mayes said.
Mayes and her family are hoping to reunite the shell with Shane and Jolene. "It'd be pretty amazing if we could find them and give them their shell," Mayes wrote to News 6.
