Armed robber demands man's belongings, shoots him, OCSO says Victim expected to survive No description found
ORLANDO, Fla. – A 62-year-old man was walking in the area of San Antonio Avenue and Americana Boulevard on Sunday evening when a robber demanded his belongings and then shot him, authorities with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
The armed robbery took place just before 6:25 p.m.
The man responsible for the crime took out a handgun as he demanded the victim’s property. The victim was hurt in the shooting, but his injuries aren’t considered life-threatening, officials said.
He was alert and conscious when he was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
A physical description of the robber isn’t available at this time. The shooting is considered aggravated battery.
