ORLANDO, Fla. – A 39-year-old woman was shot and killed early Monday in Orange County, deputies said.
Officials identified the woman as Paula Ann Anderson, 39.
The fatal shooting was reported at 2:34 a.m. in the 4600 block of Old Goldenrod Road in Orlando.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home and found Anderson suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
Alan Hirschkorn, a friend of the property owner, said he's surprised by the news.
"(The property owner) told me that someone came in there at night with some kind of gun or something and shot that trailer up there," Hirschkorn said. "It's very quiet over here, and I come here all the time."
No other details have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
