UCF student charged with DUI manslaughter in University Boulevard crash

36-year-old Sanford man killed in crash

A University of Central Florida student is facing charges after hitting and killing another driver in a crash not far from the school, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Dean Kornblum, of Boca Raton, was driving east on University Boulevard near Bibb Lane when he rear-ended the SUV in front of him, driven by 36-year-old Angel Dominguez of Sanford, according to a crash report.

The impact caused the victim’s car to flip, killing him at the scene, the report said. His name has not been released.

Kornblum was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, where he was later arrested, according to the Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Kornblum was booked into the Orange County Jail on DUI manslaughter charges.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
