BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 34-year-old woman was found dead near the water along State Road 528 Sunday, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said the body was found by people launching a boat in the area near mile marker 50 on State Road 528.

The victim was later identified as Ashley Marrotta, 34, of Merritt Island.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to determine what happened to Marrotta leading up to her death. Deputies said they would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or had contact with her since Oct. 25.
