ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is packed with things to do, from culture and community celebrations to moonlit zoo adventures, wine sipping and even a rhino birthday party.

Whether you’re making weekend plans or looking ahead to next week, I’ve rounded up the best events to check out this weekend and next week:

1. Night hike at the zoo: See the wild side after dark

When: Saturday, June 14 | 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

If you’ve never seen the Central Florida Zoo after dark, this is your chance. The Night Hike at the Zoo is back, giving you a unique way to experience wildlife by moonlight. Grab a flashlight and follow a guided tour through the grounds as you encounter nocturnal animals and discover what really happens after the sun goes down. It’s family-friendly, fun and just the right amount of wild.

2. Kissimmee Juneteenth Festival: A celebration of freedom and community

When: Saturday, June 14 | 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Kissimmee Civic Center

Celebrate culture, history and unity at the Kissimmee Juneteenth Festival. This powerful event brings together music, food, crafts and community to honor African American heritage and the spirit of resilience. With live performances, vendors and a kids’ zone, it’s a day of joy and connection for all ages.

3. Clermont Wine Stroll – Sip and Stroll Through Downtown

When: Saturday, June 14 | Wine sampling starts at 6:30 p.m. | Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.

Wine lovers, this one’s for you. The Clermont Wine Stroll turns downtown into a sipping paradise, with more than 20 local businesses offering samples of red, white, and rosé. Check in at 756 W. Montrose Street to pick up your wine glass, wristband, and event map — then explore, taste, and enjoy at your own pace. Rain or shine, this is a perfect evening out.

4. Waggin’ Weekend – Old Town’s Dog Festival

When: Sunday, June 15 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Old Town

Calling all dog lovers — Waggin’ Weekend is your pup’s time to shine! Bring your four-legged best friend for a tail-wagging day full of treats, activities, and fun in the sun. It’s a celebration of our furry companions. Think vendor booths, special activities and an atmosphere designed with dogs in mind.

5. PJ’s 14th Birthday Bash – A party for one very special rhino

When: Saturday, June 14 | During zoo hours

There’s a party happening at the Zoo, and the guest of honor weighs 4,000 pounds. PJ, the greater one-horned rhino, is turning 14, and you’re invited to the celebration. Show up in your comfiest pajamas or rhino-themed gear and you’ll get $4 off admission and a free raffle entry. Zoo Keepers will be treating PJ to enrichment surprises, and you might even catch him getting the zoomies. It’s a wild birthday bash you won’t want to miss.

6. Orlando International Film Festival

When: Wednesday–Saturday, June 18–22
