Burglary alarm leads to body found in Osceola County

Foul play suspected

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies responding to a burglary alarm at a condominium property in Osceola County found a dead body inside one of the condo units.

Osceola County deputies received a call around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday about a burglary alarm on Brittania Boulevard inside the Villas at Island Club complex.

Once they arrived, they knocked on the door of that unit, where a man answered the door. Deputies said they quickly realized there was a body of another man inside.

Deputies have not revealed know how these two people knew each other, but officials have said that foul play is suspected.

"This is an isolated incident," said Major Jacob Ruiz with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. "People should not be in fear that we are looking for any people who are hurting people."

Ruiz said anyone with information about what happened is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-1100.
