VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Wildfires that sprang up Friday evening in southern Volusia County are now fully contained, according to local officials.
In a release Friday, fire officials said crews were working wildfires off Maytown Road. The fires burned more than 250 acres.

Local officials say to stay cautious.
“Although the fires have been contained, residents and motorists in the area may continue to experience smoky conditions, including the smell of smoke and periods of reduced visibility,” officials said in a news release.
