Crash reported in Brandon yard

BRANDON, Fla. – Two people walked away from a plane crash Thursday afternoon in Brandon, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Parsons Avenue and Empire Drive, the fire department said on social media.

Multiple 911 calls reported an upside-down plane with a deployed parachute in a yard, the post states.

Arriving crews located both of the plane’s occupants out of the aircraft and walking around, with firefighters noting no hazards involving the plane itself.

The two people were taken in stable condition to a local trauma center, according to the fire department.

The scene has since been handed over to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
