With the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) being signed into law last month, Florida is slated to see plenty of individual and business tax cuts.
That’s according to The Tax Foundation, which put together a study this month detailing what Florida residents can expect during the upcoming 2026 tax season.

The study predicts that the OBBBA will bring down federal taxes on average for individual taxpayers in every state, largely thanks to features like new deductions for tipped/overtime income, as well as an expanded child tax credit and standard deduction.
“Specific tax changes also exhibit geographic variation,” the study reads. “For example, the $40,000 cap on state and local tax (SALT) deductions ($10,000 cap post-2029) will tend to have the greatest impact on taxpayers in higher-tax localities on the coasts of the U.S.”
Overall, the average tax cut statewide in 2026 is estimated to be around $5,000, researchers posited.
That figure is set to fall to roughly $3,200 by 2030 as certain individual changes like deductions for tips and overtime expire, though it’s set to rise back up to around $4,000 by 2035 as inflation bloats the nominal value of the permanent tax cuts.
However, the average tax cuts for 2026 will vary by county, The Tax Foundation notes. The breakdown of those estimates is as follows:
