ORLANDO, Fla. – Earlier this week, U.S. News & World Report revealed its latest ranking of the best elementary schools across the nation, including those within Florida.
The ranking measures different schools on factors like proficiency in mathematics and reading to determine which schools are among the best in each state.
In the Sunshine State, only one Central Florida school ranked among the top 10. Those are as follows:
- No. 1: Jacksonville Beach Elementary School (Duval County)
- No. 2 (Tie): Pine View School (Sarasota County)
- No. 2 (Tie): Somerset Academy Miramar South (Broward County)
- No. 4: Morikami Park Elementary School (Orange County)
- No. 5: Orlando Gifted Academy (Orange County)
- No. 6: Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School (Pinellas County)
- No. 7: Somerset Academy Davie Charter School (Broward County)
- No. 8: A.D. Henderson University School & Fau High School (FAU Lab School)
- No. 9: Somerset Academy Elementary School (Miami-Dade County)
- No. 10: Sunset Elementary School (Miami-Dade County)
