Orange County is now on Florida’s database for measles cases, with two cases now reported.
The Florida Department of Health listed the two cases in its Reportable Disease Frequency Report as of May 16.

Both cases were reported as acquired in Florida. One patient is in the 0-4 age group, and the other is in the 25-29 age group.
Orange County’s new cases were the first two new cases of measles reported in Florida since May 2.
Florida has now reported 152 measles cases since the start of the year, more than all of the cases reported in the last 10 years combined.
Osceola County is the only other Central Florida county with a measles case.
Other cases are in Alachua, Broward, Collier, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, and St. Johns counties.
The state also has the fourth-highest number of measles cases in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control.
South Carolina ranks number one with 669 cases, followed by Utah with 482, and Texas with 182 cases.
